Vintage Pens can have small or great value. Pens by quality manufacturers, in larger sizes and in better condition generally will command more value than pens lacking those attributes. A pen need not be from one of the "big 4" manufacturers from the golden age of pendom in order to have good value. Group of 7 ballpoints that are a mix of vintage and modern. These are not mint but they are in good used condition. They include a Parker calendar jotter with advertising, a green Parker jotter with initials, a Cross gold filled pen with engraving that it was a award, a Hallmark wood pen with the clip marked "Bank of America", a Parker jotter, a Retro 51 pen which I could not find a country mark on, and finally a Bradley gold tone pen which looks suspiciously like a Cross. They all work properly but the pens need new refills.

Here is The Southern Scribe's latest selection of Parker writing instruments. 1236 Parker Falcon 50 in Matte Black. This is a very hard color to find in a Falcon. The Falcon was built along the lines of the T1.

History George Parker, the founder, had previously been a sales agent for the John Holland Gold Pen Company. He received his first fountain pen related patent in 1889. In 1894 Parker received a patent on his "Lucky Curve" feed, which was claimed to draw excess ink back into the pen body when the pen was not in use. The Lucky Curve feed was used in various forms until 1928.
